Inspired by a Bob Ross video I saw in art class today. He uses oil, but I just had to try some of his techniques anyway...it was a challenge getting it to work with acrylics! :P

Thank you! :lol: It's the first serious landscape I think I've ever attempted, at least with paint...so I'm proud of myself. I know the problems I'll face with the acrylics now so I should do better next time.

Good picture!!!

I began with acrycics too, but then (when I tried oil) I forgot about acrylics, lol. Did you try oil tempera? It's more real then acrylic and looks like oil but its technique is not so hard like oil technique. :lol:

I've never tried oil tempra. I've never even heard of it lol i'll have to look into it.

 

I want to try oil now, but its messy, expensive, and takes forever to dry...i dont reallly have the setup for oil in my house...i dont have a studio i have an easel in my living room.
