  1. It is now reported that Mushy's Army has taken control of the nation Musharraf delclares a state of emergency.

I expect America's foreign policy to now be pro-Indin rather than pro-Pakistan. This nation is now flipped on it's head there is chaos everywhere. A Pakistani on another forum is reporting all television shows are banned including BBC and they're now rewriting marshal law.

As Jewehrul Nehru once said, "There is darkness everywhere..."

  2. Darn it, I missed another birthday!

    Happy Birthday Moonlapse. :)

If you weren't such a delinquent, you'd be on here more often and know what is going on! :rip:

Have you assassinated AoS, you...you... ragamuffin? B):):no2:

I banished him and sent him to a remote and uninhabitable land called 'Swissconsin' haven't heard of him since.

  3. Stupid House of Representatives. Turkey just started shelling Kurdistan along the border already. And now the Cabinet is getting the go-ahead, ahh a huge mess caused by the HoR. All the Turks needed was a stupid reason to mobilize.

Now I'm just wondering if the US military will beat up of the Turkish military if there is an invasion.

FVC, Kurds were literally going into the Southeastern portions of Turkey and killed civilians running back into Iraq. So why is America's situation in Iraq any different? A case of the pot calling the kettle black perhaps?

And oh yeah, the Turkish military is nothing to sneeze at. :no2:

  4. That's so nice you must be so proud!

I hope he joins us soon. He's living my dream of studying history unfortunately when born into an Egyptian family you have no choice but to either be in medicine or engineering. It's like the first, 'You know you're Egyptian when...'

    Congragulations to your son!

  5. There's a problem in every subject, not just geography. But at least these people are socially conditioned, right?

Of course. They say she is an honors student who is expected to take accelerated courses in college. It's not like they throw her into the fire and give her a random question to respond to, they rehearse and prepare. If you go into an interview for a job you applied for, don't you know what to say before you say it? If the employer asks you a real life situation do you respond or just break? Apparently she broke. It goes from locating America on the map to 'the Iraq' and South Africa in order to educate our children and help out the Asians.

To bad she was part of the 1/5 of America that doesen't know where it's located on the map. Some kids at school here think Indians and Arabs are the same thing. ;)

  6. I love Rowan Atkinson.

    And I hate Mr. Bean.

I don't know what it is, but I never like the series, and couldn't bear watching the first movie. But just about anything else he does, I love it.

I didn't like the movie as it was completely different from the series.

I loved the ones where he doesen't talk and always does everything the hard way. Like when he wanted a phone and saw that the only phone that was working was the one on display. He opened all the boxes and when he saw it had no pulse he decided to take the one on display instead.

  7. I've always been intrigued by the disappearance of Roanoke Colony.

Same. All I've heard is that they set up the colony but all the men went back to England for provisions saying they'll come back in 6 months but were delayed by 3 years due to the Spanish armada. Sir Walter Raleigh said if there is any trouble carve a cross into a tree. They found the word Croatoan the name of a tribe. Here's the interesting part, the word was not completed as if someone interrupted the writer. People will say then obvioulsy it was a Native American tribe but it was the friendliest tribe in the area and when asked by the colonists, they didn't hear about what had happened.

  8. Hello, I'm back. :) I had a question that I wanted answered for an awful long time on Ptolemaic and Carthaginian relations. Little is mentioned about these two powers however, they were the two dominant forces in North Africa and I'm wandering what they felt about each other. Clearly the Ptolemaic Empire was concerned about it's provinces in the Middle East rather then the rest of Africa but they probably did here about each other's affairs, wars, and trade.

Although very unlikely they were at war with each other were they ever involved in a type of naval or military engagement with or against each other? How did both feel about a power across the continent? Did they feel threatened or were they allied in times of hardship i.e. Punic Wars?

Where's Pantagathus when you need him? ;)

anyone? You guys can close it if you like. :)

  9. I see the 'wiped from the map' quote is still making the rounds. This is a mistranslation. Here's the literal translation:

Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from).

    Oh, let me try!

    Imam (Khoumeini) megnoon! (is crazy!)
