The victory over the Iceni in 61AD on Watling Street I have heard was achieved despite being outnumbered 20:1. Possibly an exaggeration I'll admit -

I'll do that I was thinking of Imperial auxiliary units, for instance the Hamian archers based at Vercovicium. What of their standard bearers? Were their officers equipped like normal auxiliary infantry centurions or did they differ? -
