It seemed to me that I read one of the books of Chuck Palahniuk this summer. It was "Diary". And I had impression that something is wrong here. I read it with interesting but had a feeling of unpleasant touch sensation (if may say so) after reading. BTW Chuck Palahniuk is very popular author in Russia.

I browse some historical forums from time to time and find similar threads everywhere at that this themes are the subject of wide speculation and have the greatest namber of posts. As I understand it needs you for RV. I found and saw only one mention in internet. I think you saw it too. But I have some information from other resource. I saw few archaelogical finds from Lerida (Catalonia, Spain). One of them was a silver medallion with engravings "L. Aelius Longinus" on one side and image of horse's head on other side. The medallion was dated end2-beg3 AD. Condition of it was not so good and process of date was hard as I know. This was strange thing because had a little hole and most likely hanged upon Aelius's neck very long time ago. Looks like a modern badge from soldiery. I may surmise only that Longinus was from Spain (probably he has a land near modern Lerida) and returned to home safely from Britain. I may surmise also he wasn't so reach because his medallion was made from silver and not gold. This is take place of course if Prefect of Cavalry and medallion's owner were same person. Well I don't know how it may help you...

I'm not expert of course but I like Roman history (republic Rome), Egypt and Greece. Hard to say which epoch I like more then other. I find all subjects interesting for me now. As I take part in archaeological digs this theme is interesting for me too.

O'k I found it (about St. Thomas ) here but there are interesting words about merchant who came to Ierusalim from India in search of carpenters. Certainly there were connections between Rome and other far countries but they weren't so closed. IMHO of course

As far as I know Mithridates was half-Persian and half-Greek. I did'n read about Phrygians, Cimmerians and Armenians branches. I think this data must be founded on really historical facts but I don't remember about this or anything like that.
