MoooOOOOOooooOOOOOOoooo!
I think Judge Kozinski has made an udder fool of himself.
-- Nephele
You're milking this one, Neph!

Risk factors, Gaius! Risk factors!
What makes these folks more prone to kicking the bucket this year than people on my list?
-
George Steinbrenner.
Ooooo ... very good!
Matter of fact, I like that one so much that the Rev. Billy Graham got the boot!
-
Sorry, I didn't feign any indignation, but I can fake it if you like...
"That's what she said!"

Gaius:
What do you see at the risk factors associated with the folks you listed?
Michael Jackson
Aside from being weird, I don't see a lot of risk factors. Suicide perhaps?
Jimmy Carter
No known illnesses.
Andre Previn
?
George H.W. Bush
Had him last year. Pretty good health, but that skydiving thing makes him attractive.
George Steinbrenner.
Ooooo ... very good!
Dick Chenny
He has 24/7 medical monitoring. He ain't going nowhere.
Count Hans Kolvenbach (The Black Pope)
?
Bridget Bardot
Not bad
Ed Koch
Meh.
Mike Wallace
Appears to be in good shape
Charles Manson
We can only hope!

Whats In A Name?
Paging Nephele ... you have a call on line 1.

Whereas we must be "tolerant" and "accepting" of the views/customs/practices of each and every other minority faction in the US, it would seem that when it comes to Christians, it is perfectly acceptable to practice bigotry.

Good news all around. Glad to hear it Klingan.
(And I totally got the Pokemon reference too )

TiVo ????? Please explain!
Thats the brand name of the first DVRs introduced here in the states.
Don't know what I'd do without one. My wife and I have a rather aggressive television viewing schedule. It's tough to keep up.

Skybus Airlines ($20 round trip flights out of Columbus!)
Just booked flights back home for Easter for my whole family (5 of us) for $45 each.

Vetoing Snickers and Doritos!!!??? Feh, evil you...
Gimme one of these any day of the week:
-
All good suggestions (with the exception of Doritos and Snickers ... yuck! ) Snickers were created in the early 1930's by the way and thus just qualify as part of the SBE.
I have to agree with Doc on some degree regarding Diet Soda (1952). It sucks. Except for Coke Zero, that is.

The scoreboard in the Georgia Dome may have read Giants: 31, Atlanta: 10, but we know what the real scoreboard read:
G Man: 1
Lady Luck: 0

Oh, and the neighbor who projects stuff on the house...and the other neighbor who figgered how to connect the cable...absolutely rock. They deserve parties and plaques in their honor.
Doc:
10-4 on that. The first night we figured out how to do it, there were about 6 of us Dads up watching 'Goodfellas' until 2:30 am. LOL! We even have the picture-in-picture working as well so one week we had Auburn vs Florida on one side, and USC vs Washington on the other.
I told them the only thing missing was that they need to figure out some way for me to check my email.

Do it! Feel free to bounce ideas of me via PM as well if you need any help with 'historical match-ups'.
Will do! I'll need to compile a list of 64 famous Romans. Ideally, close to half would be from the Republic and half from the Empire. Any input would be gladly accepted.
By the way, a couple of interesting later round match ups could potentially pit Romulus vs Remus, Gaius Marius vs Sulla, Cato elder vs Cato younger, Gracchus vs Gracchus, and Livia vs Agrippina the younger.
-
Very cool, Pertinax!
Excuse my ignorance, but are you involved in this group of folks?
-
But Gaius ... did you get to keep the basketball?
-
My Ipod is loaded up with predominantly 80's tunes.

Again, I don't see a broad problem for the economy unless the government does something really stupid like bailing out the losers who made these crappy mortgages in the first place or cranking up the Mint to paper-dollar over the losses.
Ha! Like the government would ever do something stupid like that!
Oh, wait ...
Obama: McCain "like Cato".
