Well I didn't find the seller I wanted on Etsy, but I did a Google and found some at this link:

I may have to browse these myself. .

I will bookmark and begin watching tonight. Thanks for sharing.

Bryaxsis - I LOVE the first wall painting. If I had the energy I had in my youth I would attempt to copy that onto my bathrom wall. In fact, long time ago I did actually paint a mural on my bathrom wall, a Roman maiden standing with a bowl of fruit behind the toilet, and to her left was a scene of the Grand Canal in Venice. All in beautiful shades of burnt sienna, yellow ochre, blues, ect. My friends admired it so much, and it remained there for many years until I remodeled the room six years ago and painted over it. No photo of it was ever taken which upset my one friend very much. He was hurt that I painted over it. too funny.
Metella, it may not be what your are looking for but I found a site on Etsy that sold the most amazing shower curtains. They are expensive but the person photo copied some very interesting and beautiful scenes onto the curtain. I will try to look for the site and post back here. I had one bookmarked for a long time - it had The Three Graces on it I think, but I couldn't justify the cost.

I was so hoping someone would bring this up. I was baffled as well and thought they just added Julius for kicks or it was "some guy" who happened to be named Julius Ceasar. I had heard on a documentary that Julius Ceaser was indeed part of the army that hunted down Spartacus. Thanks for your info, as it makes more sense to me.

Oh, I see the link for donations in your first post, sorry.
-
Nephele? Where are you?

Sounds like a stunning adventure, anticipating those stories and photos you will post along the way. How and where are donations sent? I have a huge tin of saved pennies - just kidding. I can always turn them over to the bank for cash.

IPS Community? Am I lost, in the wrong place? I don't see any other posts addressing the change.
A garden forum comminity I frequent also changed formats as of yesterday and threw everyone in a teezy over there.

Enjoyed this very much. Thanks for posting.
This probably has been discussed before, but the Vestal Virgins remind me so much of Roman Catholic nuns. Is there a connection or just coincidence? Makes me wonder.

OK - Finished. I didn't post individual comments about the last four books, because there were no big surprises. The quality of the Falco books has been ramping up throughout the series, and these four: See Delphi and Die, Saturnalia, Alexandria and Nemesis, didn't buck the trend at all. Fluent writing, good characterisation, exciting plot, and the final book ending strongly, certainly not abruptly as if the author just stopped bringing new books out.
The next thing a Falcophile will be anitcipating is Ides of April, (to be published 11 April 2013 in the UK and June 2013 in the USA), first of a new series centred on Falco's adopted daughter Flavia Albia.
I await it with eager anticipation!
Me too.
Nemesis had a pretty exciting ending did it not? "Falcophile" - I like that.

2000BC: Here, eat this root
1000AD: That root is heathen! Here, say this prayer.
1865AD: That prayer is superstition! Here, drink this potion.
1935AD: That potion is snake oil! Here, swallow this pill.
1975AD: That pill is ineffective! Here, take this antibiotic.
2000AD: That antibiotic is poison! Here, eat this root.

Addendum:
For those of you not able to receive UK TV stations like Channel 4 on your TVs, try www.tvcatchup.com. I'd be interested to know if you're able gain access. I've used the iPhone App abroad, but it may know that I'm a UK resident/TV Licence Fee payer.
I bookmarked that site, Ghost, will see if I can watch the programming. Hope so!
Nope. Not available for my country.

I hope everyone here at UNRV has a great year ahead in 2013. Happy New Year everyone! :D/>/>
I wish the same for you and everyone too. Except I will turn 60 this year! UGH. But, I have Lindsey Davis's new book to look forward to in 2013.

I'll try again. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy Saturnalia to everyone.

So very interesting. Thanks for posting.

It's still a bizarre comment, IMO! I have only ever spoken English. :blink:/>
I hear nothing at all wrong with your English, maybe a bit tired from your illness, but otherwise enjoyed the videos very much.

As promised. Photos from the play tonight. For high school kids, they did an amazing job with dialog and songs. However I had a completely different image of what Pseudolus should look like! (he's the one in the purple striped pants) No chariot chase, just an awful lot of running around the stage and through the theater aisles. Most disappointing was the fact that the audience turn out was very small, being a Sunday matin

Do report back please, Crispina.
I'll try to remember to take my camera!

Don't be too surte I vivdly remember being involved in a school production years back that managed to get the 'impression' of a moving wagon over on stage - you just have to suspend a lot of disbelief;)
:D And just how were you "involved"? pray tell - which character did you portray or perhaps you had the interesting job of set design? cool.

A local high school is presenting "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To the Forum" as their musical this year. This school has an excellent drama club and always provides great entertainment for being only high school students. A friend of mine is in charge of the choreography. Anyhow, buying tickets for this Sunday's matinee. Too bad the chariot chase scene from the movie can't be done on a high school stage. Cracks me up.

Couldn't resist. And it's hard to see, but there's a Chihuahua driving.
-
I agree "A Body in The Bath House" is a good one. I remember parts of that book more than others.

Good, the video plays for me. But I wonder if I've watched this doc before.

Watched the first two episodes last night. Very, very interesting; but loads of information to absorb quickly.
