Silentium Posted February 8, 2005 Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 No offence but I find this parallelism inappropriate, considering "my ancestors" never killed in the name of a racial superiority (I won't mention the extention of roman citizenship and all that stuff) and considering there are only A FEW centuries between a dict. perpetvo like Caesar and the other one you mentioned =). I thought humanity had made some progress in the next 1900 years, like abolition of slavery and such. As far as fascism goes, they dusted off roman elements as mere propaganda, but it was actually Mussolini bringing up these things and not viceversa (Romans having similarities to fascism and all that). Oh, and you probably know what Mussolini did in order to build Via dei Fori Imperiali (the street that goes from Piazza Venezia to the Colosseum crossing the forum romanum and forum traiani). amcrazyjus Posted February 8, 2005 Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 the worst part about hitler was he didn't just kill them (like they were in the way ant it was the only way) he collected them made them work and barely fed them till they were almost see through (cause they were so skinny(i have seen pictures of these people)) and then told them they were gonna get a bath put them in gas chambers (them unnknowing till it was too late) and just killed them because he and the nazis thought that they were so bad that they deserved to die (remember they were jews, God's chosen people) i can't really see a similarity except they both were blood thirsty ;( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
