Forum Upgrade Issues Help List

Recommended Posts

'Todays' Active Content' is probably the equivalent of the 'View New Posts' button.

Not quite, as it only displays today's posts, not all posts since the last visit.

If you don't check in every day you won't notice the older ones.

I think that functions like "watch topic" and "watch forums" can be used to spot new posts, but I have to see how it works.

I love the fact that links to Youtube have embedded themselves in the post. I had to make several replies to the thread I started because there is only one link per post allowed.

Also, I've seen that the picture posted in this topic

http://www.unrv.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11371&pid=105888&st=0entry105888

do not resize themselves and make for a wider page.

The "buttons" are actually three and four word phrases. First one says "Todays Active Content".

On my display there are no such buttons. It looks like this:

* UNRV.com

* Forums

* Members

* Calendar

* Blogs

* Gallery

* Search

* Help

Signed in as Medusa

* Sign Out

* My Settings

* My Profile

* Messenger (0 New)

* Manage Friends

* Manage Ignored Users

* Ancient Roman Empire Forums

Board Index

View the latest news: Inscriptions unearthed at Pompeiopolis

After that starts the forum itself.

Look between the last topic heading in the forum listing that says "Tartarus" and "Today's Birthdays". There should be some phrases there.

The fixing of the dates is actually a great relief.

The active users list also seems to be getting back to normal as well so looks like you are starting to get on top of at least some of the snags following the upgrade.

The date issue is solved only on the front page, others pages are still affected (for exemple go to "forum peregrini - archeology : the world" to see the issues remaining, other sections also being affected.

Otherwise I approve of all those that'd like a true "view unread posts" function back

Still can't access blogs.

Has anyone tried instant messaging?

Yep, still no blogs for me, either. Haven't tried instant messaging, but I wasn't enthralled with it earlier, either.

And I'll agree that the 'today's posts' only works if you check every single day, or perhaps more than once a day. Right now I still don't have internet access at home, so I can only check when I'm at work...maybe, if I have time.

Please bring back the most recent post feature and last post date on the forums list.

I really really liked this feature.
