King Arthur Review

Recommended Posts

Guest spartacus

I purchased the King Arthur DVD today and just finished watching it

I thought Clive Owen was miscast, the Saxon King was great, a really nasty piece of work!

Battle scenes quite good, v.gory!

Not a bad movie, worth a watch, have you seen it?

I didnt like it at all, thought the acting was bad the costumes terrible and it had a very poor script.Stellan skarsgard was good as Cerdic but overall a very poor attempt at recreating the Arthur legend. :D L

The only good thing about this film is its set in the Dark Ages, which is were it should be.Not the Medieval story wrote in Victorian times.L

To see and forget. Battle stages are without blood!

Where is realism?

They were thinking it might be the only reason people like me would tune in. ;-)

Seriously, I haven't seen it, but I must watch it if only to see just how bad it really is. And, to see Kiera Knightly, too.

As remarked by other members the historical facts were disjointed, I watched part of the DVD entitled the making of King Arthur and they used a Historian on the set to help with accuracy !!!

Read the Last Legion by that Maximo something or other.

I don't like him as an author, but once you read that you'll see that King A. was a blatant rip off....and most importantly you'll see where the idea for keira's outfit came from!!!! Not to mention most of the action scenes, oh...and the entire plot......

By the way, I'll repeat something from an earlier thread, and bearing in mind other threads regarding various generals' military genius, could someone please explain why the saxons invaded Britain by landing north of the Great Wall?

cheers Me dears

I saw a preview the other day for something called "The Kingdom of Heaven" - about the crusdades. I'm sure it will have the usual accuracy problems, but the battle scenes did look fantastic, and it does have Jeremy Irons in it. Anyone heard of or seen it ?
