Hello,

 

I was at a roman army re-enactment fair this afternoon at Aubechies (Belgium) and brought back some pictures and movies which I've decided to share with the UNRV crew :

Thank you very much for the upload! I find this very interesting as I saw these kind of shows back in Sweden, but only with medieval knights - the thought of doing it with Romans never even struck my mind.

The horsemen came from two teams, a belgian (Malagne, http://www.malagne.be/fr/arch_militaire.asp, 2 horses) and a german one (Time trotter, http://www.timetrotter.de/, 4 horses). While the first is from a more scientific team, the second is from a more commercial team of re-enactors.

In case anyone in Britain is interested in seeing cavalry reenactors in action there is a Roman Cavalry unit attached to Comitatus and they are due to put on a display during next Weekends Bank Holiday at Maryport.
