How about the best closing line to this limerick:-

A young woman of the Corieltavi,

Sold her virtue for 20 denari.

A centurion bought it,

And said, "who'da thought it?",

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah-blah.

I'm aware that it should be denarii, rather than denari.

Or a young man of Ostia

bought his virture for a dinarius.

etc..

We soon going to give away one of those beaker, any idea to what great lenghts one should go to get it?

i think there should be a contest. They must videotape themselves standing on their heads while reciting The Aeneid in Latin, and post it to youtube. Those who survive the longest win.

What a beautiful beaker!

I reckon the competition should consist of just one question, some thing along the lines of "what is GPM's mothers maiden name??" or "How old is GPM's dad??" :naughty:

What do you think??

Vig shall I PM you my address now??:whistling:

Drinking vessel, originally used for sacrifices? Does it have another, to me unknown, meaning?

As long as you hold our map or a roman history book in your hands you are most welcome to wear a swimsuit... ;)
