Estevan Roman Posted August 7, 2012 Report Share Posted August 7, 2012 Hey everyone, I was wondering what you all think of the schools of thought of the origins of the Romanian people, as they are the only people in the Balkans who speak a Latin based Romance language. Anyone think they are migrants from between the Danube and the Jire?ek Line aka Vlachs or actual Roman people who stood behind and kept the Latin language strong? I believe the Romanians and Moldovans believe they are descended from actual Roman colonists who remained in the area after Dacia was abandoned.
