The Romans and Germanic/Gaulic peoples mixed their genes, thus causing smaller children to be born than before.
longbow 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2005 Wouldn't it be...over the muscle...that the fat was supposed to grow? If they only ate barely, wouldn't they get scurvy? I would expect that they had some fresh vegetables as well (I read somewhere that they did, actually) and a source of protein. Yeah soz,i meant over the muscle (bit tired, just finished nightshift) The fat what you gain from barley is different from normal flab, its a lot firmer,so its like having a layer of armour under your skin.Im sure olive oil and lemons and limes would of been available too, that will keep the scurvy away.
