Viggen Posted January 9, 2004 Report Share Posted January 9, 2004 Italian archaeologists have discovered a Roman ship and hundreds of amphorae dating to the second century AD during excavation works for a new subway in the southern city of Naples. The discoveries, which were detailed on Thursday, will help shed light on ancient life in the Mediterranean port city, the archaeologists said. Anybody remember that farmer in scandinavia had a mound on his property and the legend said that there was many treasures below it and so he dug it up and found an almost completely intact viking ship?
