Gaius Octavius 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2006 (edited) This is a very elaborate screen in front of the alter. It is closed at the heart of the Mass, when the bread and wine are transformed (?) into the Body and Blood of Christ. It can be seen in modern Orthodox and Eastern Rite Roman Catholic churches. H. is asking about its length and width. Edited September 24, 2006 by Gaius Octavius
Ursus 6 Report post Posted September 24, 2006 The what? LoL... sorry Honorius but you'll have to refresh my memory on exactly what you are talking about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iconostasis It's basically the distinguishing visual feature of the interior of an Orthodox church. Remember the icon controversy in the Byzantine Empire? Sorry, Honorius, I have no useful information.
