Antiochus of Seleucia 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 Yay! UNRV is back! I see Germanicus is too! When I tried to get on yesterday all I got was a "not found" message, I had no idea that someone "hacked" the history forum... He will be flayed alive. Roman justice served. Rameses the Great 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 Geez, I tried to go on the forum and the same exact thing happened. Sick people indeed. I say, lets meet them at Brookfordsexinghausen. Where we may ensue a gunfight :2guns: and have Gaius pick 'em off. :sniper:
DecimusCaesar 1 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 I was wondering why the site wouldn't work yesterday. I thought that you were doing some repairs or changing the content.

tflex 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 Suspects? Could be any number of people I recently placed on moderated status. ;-) Expose them Ursus, so they can be interrogated and shamed.
Moonlapse 1 Report post Posted October 14, 2006 I just figured out what happened and I am ****** livid. I'll explain it later when I'm not so tired, but all I have to say is that I've lost my last shread of faith in Invision Power Services' competence.
Moonlapse 1 Report post Posted October 14, 2006 Heres the deal, short and sweet. We stay on top of security updates and upgrades. The exploited part of the forum was supposedly up to date, unless you take into account that Invision, at some time between now and the initial release, made critical security updates to the latest version without any notifications or changes in the version number. So, in essence two forums can have the same version number of the same forum addon and one might be vulnerable because it was updated sooner than later.
