Clear skies tonight over Long Island. I was just watching it. Beautiful.

The sky is bright and clear and the eclipse has begun here - almost half - total around 10pm.

 

You were lucky, totality was between 3.01 and 3.52am over here and the next one isn't due until until September 28, 2015:(

They said on the news last night that the next one is in 2010...maybe it's the next one viewable to us here on the West Coast of America?

The next total lunar eclipse will apparently only be visible across North and South America. c/f
