Ingsoc 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2008 This was taken at my hometown in Israel, could anyone help me identify the soldiers on the sarcophagi? Bryaxis Hecatee 16 Report post Posted September 4, 2008 well the shield on the third soldier from right, upper line, seems to be round : it thus could be a greek hoplon shield. The helmets are a variety of corinthian ( center horseman ) and attic ( see right horseman ). So yes those could be greek soldiers fighting barbarians.
