Delian league essay

Just thought id share with all of you the essay i recently handed in as part of my Ancient history course : -

 

What were the reasons behind the founding of the Delian league?

I think it was a very good essay over all. Certainly learned a lot :clapping: Though that would be easy as I know very little about the Delian league lol. Was very imformative though!!!

The essay is based on our sovereignty. As Thucydides said it was the course of events that led to the increased power Athens possessed, rather than a single affair. Conversely, rebellious states soon lost their sovereignty and became subject to Athens Coursework. Initially the allies were independent states, they had their own particular forms of government.
