Scipio. 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2009 As the title says ... Which is best? The Augusta 1 Report post Posted March 8, 2009 Michael Grant for me - hands down. I'm afraid our house is in a bit of a turmoil at the mo, so I can't put my hand on my Tacitus, but if you google the 60s Penguin edition you should find what you need.
Scipio. 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Michael Grant for me - hands down. I'm afraid our house is in a bit of a turmoil at the mo, so I can't put my hand on my Tacitus, but if you google the 60s Penguin edition you should find what you need. Funny, that was at the top of my list because it's so readable. Thank you; I'll $$ it ASAP.
Gaius Paulinus Maximus 2 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 Michael Grant takes it for me too. I picked up a 1975 re-print of the original 60's Penguin translation for a ridiculously cheap price on Amazon.
