Or special effects over plot. Or a movie's potential as a date flick/family-friendly movie, over plot, I suppose. (There are an awful lot of well-liked family-friendly movies out there with plots that suck. Just look at the last Indiana Jones movie.) I haven't seen the new Trek movie, and I might wait for the DVD, and borrow it for free from my public library.
