Two large Roman sculpture heads were found in May 2023 at Carlisle (Luguvalium) near Hadrian’s Wall, site of many new archaeological finds (see posts below). Archaeological discoveries since 2019 suggest that Emperor Septimius Severus and his Empress Julia Domna May have spent time there around AD 208-211.
