(In case you wondered; i am checking my weight every morning just after i get up, before i have eaten or before i had something to drink.) I lost again a pleasing amount of weight, since my last entry (0.4 kilograms = 0.881849049 pounds). Although i had some chocolate attackes i managed to continue to loose weight, mostly because of a technique called Intermittent fasting, i skipped dinner twice the last few days and it really gives you a boost in weight loss. I thought it will be difficult but it wasnt at all, whenever i felt hungry i drank water or started to exercise. This is a really great tool to have more control. It looks like i might break the 110 kilograms = 242.508488 pounds barrier before June ends!

If you start exercising when you feel hungry can you train your body to be afraid to send hunger signals? So the body chooses not to express hunger rather then face exercising :P

I'm really proud of you, Vigs...it's a long road. Myself, it took me over 2 years to lose 65 lbs...and, yes, I did put some of that back on, but only about half of it, and now I'm taking it off again.

A couple of notes...I never did like the 'daily weigh-ins', as it didn't show me enough results. I used to weigh in once a week, and took monthly measurements. (Now, I don't weigh myself often, but do take measurements, as my actual weight isn't as important to me as feeling good and losing one more dress size.) Also, fasting can work for some, but not for others, and not all the time. I know for me, it never worked; I'll make up for it later, and not always in a good way. At least it's dinner you skipped...not nearly as important in the grand scheme of things. I'll often have a salad for dinner with some beans (esp. cannellini or ceci) and/or canned tuna/fresh fish on top, especially now that we're in summer.

Regardless, keep this up! One of the hardest things to do is to maintain focus and motivation...don't beat yourself up for any cravings, and it sounds like you don't give into them on a huge basis. It's just a part of life...besides, chocolate is necessary! (Ok, it is for us women...)

thanks doc for the encouraging words, as you know its hard at times, so any bit of outside motivations helps! I do have cravings but i manage them, and yeah some chocolate is also good for the boys ;)
