For bad episodes, the over the counter pills aren't great. They all have concerning side effects that limit use to 6 pills per day. For prescriptions I give a shout out for cheap and non-addictive baclofen for spasm relief only. Must carefully thread the needle around it's crazy potential side effects; insurance companies hate it.
