   The festival in honor of Saturnus, the best of days each year according to Catullus (Catull. 14.15). The event officially lasted for seven days during the time of Cicero, three days under Augustus and five days under Caligula and Claudius - it was however always celebrated for seven days no matter what the official regulations said.
