Huh. Very interesting... but the problem is somene who was a genius back when stonehenge was built would have had to think up that technique, and then it would have probably taken more than a lifetime's work to finish it.

I'd have to go with early-mid Republic. The Roman republic seemed to get a lot more done around that time then in the late republic; and It wasn't ruled by just one man then.
