Scientific Evidence Shows Precious Frankincense Was Still Used at Buri

According to the University of Bradford, scientific evidence of frankincense, as well as other mystery resins, has been found on skeletons and caskets for the first time at Roman burial rites in Britain. Only wealthy Romans settled into areas of Britain such as York and London more than 1,500 years ago, and this is the first time it has been possible to prove that they used the expensive resin in funeral services.  Researchers at the University of Bradford found the expensive resin on four fourth century Roman caskets, as well as on the bones of the deceased who lay inside.
