Their buildings are awe inspiring, yet unique and simple. They have not been matched in beauty till this day. Wy were the opposite of the city-state and athenian democracy and the role-models of modern Americans.USA is a replica of Rome.That is why Rome fascinates me although it would have been much better if the Athenian paradigm had prevailed.
