Obviously, Surface is stated by Microsoft to not be available to public consumers until 3-5 years later and when it is mass produced, it will like cost around the price of a large HDTV. However, reading through those comments on the link, I find it extremely bias because this multi-touch technology has been out for an extremely long time. Microsoft is just being innovative with the design and possibilities. Come on seriously, how are you going to compare a Surface vs an Iphone which falls into different operating categories.
