One item of interest is in the east coast pronunciation of "A" and "R" at the end of a word It clearly comes from England; we only have to listen to know this. Is this a precursor of the change of the English language much like what happened to the French language: Meaning phonetic sounds that don't match their written form.?

Example:

CUBA in the east from New York to (most prominently in Massachusetts) New Hampshire, becomes CUBE
