Guest scorpion
Greetings! I am interested in resources pertaining to the military organizations and units of groups other than the Romans and Greek successor states during the period of 300 B.C. to 100 B.C. or thereabouts. I am most interested in Ptolemny (Egypt), the barbarians of both mainland Europe and the islands, Carthage, and the states of Asia Minor. If someone could direct me to such material, I would be most grateful. Thanks! -Scorp
Primus Pilus
I'm not really aware of any web resources on that subject, but Adrian Goldsworthy, a premier military historian, has written several books that may be of interest. Primus Pilus
I may be mixing him up with Peter Connolly.
