Domitian's imperial palace

Hello,

I have started doing a computer reconstruction of Domitian's imperial palace in Rome, just for the fun of it as a way to occupy my spare time.

Having done some basic research, most of my sources indicate that some areas of the structure are poorly understood, particularly near the imperial quarters and around the stadium. (For now I'm focusing on only the original Domitianic building, not the Severan additions.)

Is anyone aware of more recent attempts to gain a greater understanding of the evidence at this site, say within the last 15-20 years? Failing that, are there any good resources detailing our current knowledge here? If anyone knows of other attempts to reconstruct this building, that would be interesting to me as well.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Russ,

I did most of my research at the library, using the internet mostly for images and supplemental information, so my list of internet sources is thin. You might be able to find more information out there than what I have:

Good luck!
