Roman Book Wish List for Saturnalia

Antiochus of Seleucia

Currently I own these books:

Grant's Roman Emperors

Goldworthy's In the Name of Rome

Collins' Nero's Killing Machine

Burns' Rome and the Barbarians

Gibbon's Decline and Fall

----

Currently in "possession" of:

Brand's Roman Military Law (Library Book)

----

My Saturnalia Wish List currently comprises of:

Goldswirthy's Complete Roman Army

M. Warrior's Roman Religion: A Sourcebook

Rodger's The Roman World: People and Places

I also believe I should should consider getting these (in the near future):

Caesar's Commentaries

Livy

Polybius

ect, et al contemporary

----

I spent time recently reading most of the book reviews, here and on amazon, focusing on the topics I'm particularily interested in. I am also going to start (after the current list is read) studying the earlier Republic. The Roman Military Law I am currently reading has me hooked on the pivotal, reletively obscure figures of the delightfully interesting politics of the early Roman Republic.

I should research before I ask these questions, but does anyone have any suggestions on books about the early Roman Republic? Better yet, does anyone recommend a particular author?

Don't do it! I had to buy all of these books (and more!), and now I can not afford to go out - the Internet, my friend, is a much cheaper tool.
