Rescued Troopers

Yesterday we seen two SAS troopers on the news who had been captured by the Iraqi police, god knows how that happened but it did.The police were going to hand the soldiers over to the Insurgents or whoever they are (the ones doing the fighting) so they could be exchanged for some Clerics who had been arrested. The Iraqi government were negotiating to get the Soldiers released when the British army said Screw that, they sent the tanks into the area to bust the boys out,one tank drove through the police station and rescued the two soldiers(who had took a hell of a beating). Some Iraqi's were killed and some Brits were injured but im astonished at the Iraqi officials who are saying it was a Barbaric act! what's so Barbaric about rescuing two of your own soldiers? there is a war going on isnt there?Too see the Tank crew bailing out of there vehicle whilst there backs are on fire and then getting jumped by the Mob made me angry as hell, especially after just reading the posts on the forum about the Americans not needing any British help and that there only there for political reasons.Barbaric act!Hell,im proud the Army went and got there boys back,I think if it was me in that tank i wouldnt of bailed out,i would of mowed that crowd down with the mg's first,it was horrible to watch it,it brought back memories of them two NET operatives who were spotted at a IRA funeral in the 80's,the NET boys didnt get rescued though, they were executed.Last nights newsTodays news

The police were going to hand them over to the insurgents? WTF is the point if the police apparantly support the other side? Its certainly hard to blame the Brits for going after their own.. especially when they know exactly where they are. Its the only thing that makes sense to me.

By the way don't mistake American patriotism (when we say we can do it ourselves, because we believe we can) for a lack of appreciation. The participation of those involved is always welcomed and appreciated. We are your illegitimate bastard children after all.
