  1. Thank you so much for the offer. As far as I know, it does not exist in any copy Naples or elsewhere, but I appreciate the assistance. Best, Jeremiah
  2. @Bryaxis Hecatee Thank you so very much for the offer. I would be incredibly grateful for a higher res copy of the photo with a simple email permission that you took it and Pen & Sword can use it on the cover. My email is jmc.hst@gmail.com. You would absolutely be credited (and you can still have a copy if you'd like) @Bryaxis and @Crispina As for the provenance of the statue, I actually wrote my M.A. thesis on Marcellus in 97-ish and I had never heard of this statue. I am suspicious that it is not cos. 222 Marcellus or at least not based on any contemporary image of 222 Marcellus. Basically it falls into the "as close as we can get" category and my press preferred this over various coin possibilities for a cover. Best, Jeremiah
  3. Hello UNRV, I am finished with a biography of Marcellus (sacker of Syracuse) that Pen and Sword press will be publishing soon and desparately working to find a picture of the Capitoline museum seated Marcellus statue that someone has taken and is willing to let me put on the cover (with appropriate credit, of course). Any chance anyone on UNRV or someone you know has a picture of it? If so, I would be incredibly grateful (free copy of the book grateful). Here's a link to a flickr copy that is prohibitively expensive to license. www.flickr.com/photos/smbtravels/4094104337/ Thanks in advance, Jeremiah McCall
