  1. I am almost done with Imperium and have only recently found and bought McCullogh, but Harris is very entertaining. He swept me up right away and has kept my interest peaked throughout. Whereas I know most of the story already, it still feels fresh and like I am living it minute by minute with him. I would recommend Harris.
  2. Not sure if that was it, but thanks will look for it.... I am halfway thru Imperium (first half is about his crusade against Verres).. when done I will try and get a review of it to you guys....
  3. I found a book by Cicero I wanted to get, but when I went to a different store they didnt have any and now I have forgotten what the exact title is. It is the one (or the main anyway) that contains his stuff against Verres. Thanks.
  4. I dont know if this is where this belongs and if not please forgive me. But I have also just started a portable professor course from Barnes and Nobles on The History of Ancient Rome. Only 2 lessons in, but interesting if very basic. Just wondering if anyone had heard of it or gone through it?
  5. Yes, that would be the one I am referring to.
  6. Well, my esteemed brother, so far it appears to be about Cicero's rise to Consul. As I said, I am still in the beginning, however, so far it has dealt with his training (briefly) and his crusdae against Verres. I have just gotten to the part where he is beginning his trail against Verres for corruption and theft.

Salve All, New Citizen here. I was wondering if anyone had read the new book on Cicero.. Imperium? I picked it up the other day and am approx. on page 90 so far. Just wondering if anyone else has read it or what they think about it.
