No, to take the photo I'm standing on a steep enbankment, so it really had no where to go. I on the other hand could run up said enbankment.

Makes me think of "The lady of the lake" ????

People are often derisive of Art that is seen as "Easy to make", but the point really is - that those people didn't make it did they ? I like them, well done !

I'm actually living at Barwon Heads, which is about 1 hour from Melbourne(an older ABC show called "Seachange" was filmed here), at the mouth of the Barwon River. It's not on the Bay, but just outside, about 15 minutes from Torquay(Point Break fame). This shot was at high tide, right at the point where the river meets the Bass Strait.
Thanks for the commment - glad you liked it !

Pertinax - did you ever see that 80s series of Robin Hood, Clannad soundtrack. Robin was characterised as a devotee of Herne ?

It was the head on a pole bit that made me grimace.
Me too.....but with excitement ! Those heads all lined up would have been some deterrent.

Great photo ! It certainly does convey the difficulties an assault on the castle would entail.

Might I ask why you can see the bones in the one guy's leg? I'm sure you intended it, and it looks neat, I was just wondering why you did it that way
Sure...It was intentional, I've done a lot of paintings and prints using an X-ray technique. I've been heavily influenced by Francis Bacon and an Australian artist Godwin Bradbeer, they both often X-ray sections in their paintings. Other influences I guess are pop artists like Larry Rivers, David Hockney. I have a fine art degree with honors. In terms of painting my feeling has always been that If I want an exact drawing of something - why bother ? Why not just take a photo ? I like to try to get my paintings to trancend what they are actually "of" and convey a feeling or sensation. Sometimes they're totally abstract, with no recognisable feature at all, but nothing groundbreaking there.
Thanks for the comment though, I appreciate any feedback.

It's what I do Flavius, it's what I do. It's about 120cm x 70cm. I'll post some more for your "expert" opinion.

This is a pic of one of my recent paintings - It's based on a photo by Muybridge of some wrestlers.
