I'm trying to find the best books about the Roman Army and how it affected all walks of life within the Empire. I have read the Blackwell book A Companion to the Roman Army, and am interested in finding similar books and ebooks that provide similar or additional content to help me better understand the ways in which the Army affected politics, religion and society as a whole.
