I have always wanted to know what happened to the forgotten Memoir of L. Cornelius Sulla. I have always thought that would make a great bit of historical fiction.

I must agree with Clodius. That is why one of the first things Sulla did as dictator was to repeal many of the Gracchan laws. And indeed his demagoguery and pandering toward the headcount was imitated by Marius (though certainly of a different pedigree) and Caesar himself.
