Well its currently 1:00 in the Afternoon here and I have opened all my presents. I got alot of cool stuff.......the things that I am most thrilled about our my body armor (athletic shirt) my hand crafted Hawaiian Chess board and my Egypitian Ahnk. (Thats right Ursus, get jealous of it!) Its made of almost pure silver and cost my mom a preety penny. Other then that today I am sick and I am rather light headed. But yeah I am just sitting around relaxing listening to Enya music. Tonight were going to have a barbque Hawaiian style! Anyway I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas.

What would the world be like without Christianity? What if it had no spread and the Roman State had presuecuted it until it had been destroyed. What would the world be like? What social events might not have happened? What systems might have stayed the same and what might have changed? Do you think Democracy still could have happened? These are all important things to consider for Christianity influences almost all aspects of Western Culture. What would have happened if it had no developed? Zeke

I would also like to mention that everyone of the people who were claimed to be "possesed" by a Satanic Deamon......were meantally and emtionally unstable. In other words the vast majority of those people were CRAZY. So yeah I doubt if any of the possessions accually were real. p.s. This is my 400th post!!! Zeke

The Romans believe in evil spirits but I don't think they thought there were possesions. Evil spirts may have caused diesies but they didn't accually posses the person. Pagan Priests may have been order to please spirits in a particular place but we have to remember that the Roman Pagans had a different deffination of the "Nature of evil" Christianity estalished stirct guide lines of evil, with all evil falling under Satan's command. With Polytheism "evil" is alot more blurred. So no, I do not believe Roman Priests preformed exorsicims on people, but I could be wrong. Zeke

Regarding the racist part that LEG posted. I think its a very sad thing to Nazis promoting Germanic Beliefs just to futher their own agendas. It makes Polythesits look like racists and further isolates them and turns them into freaks. Oh and I compleatly forogt about that the fact that the Pope is German, hence a new revival of Catholic culture may occur in Germany within the next couple years. I will ponder on this new situation. So yeah, Zeke Nationalism and Faciasim seems to accompany all the Polythesitic faiths that do arise this is not going to help the image of the ancient beliefs.

There was a Temple to Isis on the Campus Martius outside of Rome. Isis and Seperis were the Egypitain dieties most worshipped by the Romans. Zeke

Germanic Paganism does have the greatest possiblity of becoming a prominate European Faith, there are so many Germanic Countries that would readily embrace it because their politics are so liberal and in general Christainity isn't as predominate as it is in Italy or Greece.

In terms of Cosmotology and Germanic Prophecy I have my own beliefs on the matter. Since I consider myself a hard Polytheist I believe that the Germanic Gods were compleatly seprate from the Roman dieties. But I belief that the other tribe of gods, the Vanir was symbolic message made by the German people to mean all the other gods. Odin's Family of Gods is the Germanic Gods and the Vanir that they went to war with were the other dieties of Europe: (The Celtic, Slavic, Gerco/Roman etc.) Hence the war ended and hostages were exchanged. That symbolized peace between all the dieties of Europe. Raganork.....the end of the world in Germanic Polythesim in my opinion is simply the end of the Germanic Gods. The "Trolls" are the Christians that lead to the final destruction of Odin and his family. But it also says that after the end of the world...Odin's son Balder...the most beautiful and loving of the Gods will return from hell and reform the pantheon. This has yet to be seen... Many mythological stories are symbolic messages in my opinion Zeke

It was probably Aurelian who gave the Empire some of its power but the height of the Empire had been in 180 A.D. Zeke

Look here though......we don't want this site to be dominated by different divisions. Though I know our moderators and Admins are fair but...I was once on a Communist site called Che-Lives, they had this "Commie Club." and the people in the "Commie Club" turned into the thing that the Communists hated most: A fasciast tolleration state site. When we create these different Tribunes this better not lead to fighting among the different classes like in the real anceint Rome. How do you suppose we prevent fighting between the different discision making bodies that exist here at UNRV? Zeke
