Armed robbery at ancient Olympia museum

I agree this is a sad day particularly with the use of leathal weaponary which doesn't bode well for other sites containing important artefacts.

A police source said 68 objects had been stolen from a museum dedicated to the ancient Olympic Games, with the local mayor adding that the items were of "incalculable" value.

Instead of quoting my own crusade on this forum against trendy repatriations of archeo artifacts, and for their safe and convenient dispursion, let's try lightness and wit instead:

 

 

In a very similar vein . . . another comdian on Radio 4's 'Now Show' this weekend, commenting on the behaviour of the Greeks due to their recent financial troubles, said it was like they'd lost their marbles!
