Could the Trojan War - a legendary event that some claim led to the founding of Rome - have turned out very differently? This blog searches for a missing piece of the Trojan War jigsaw - the whereabouts of the Hittite Empire, at the time of the war Troy's supposed overlords and protectors:

Those are my thoughts on the matter. I'd be keen to hear on the thoughts of others?

Obviously, this is all predicated on the assumption that there is some historical kernel to the stories of Homer et al.
