Demson Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 Interesting how the majority of the settlements are near the coast or waterways. It kind of shows how important the Mediterranean was to the classical civilisations. Seafaring was the most effective and efficient mode of transport until the steam age.
