A beautiful Roman gem has been found in a lagoon north of Venice at Lio Piccolo.

Lio Piccolo has long been a thriving fishing community. Underwater excavation also discovered a structure from the first or second centuries AD that had a brick base and oak walls and is thought to have been an oyster holding tank.
