guy
Maybe not a good time to be a tourist in Rome. Protests at the Coliseum have not turned destructive … yet. Edited Sunday at 03:09 PM by guy
guidoLaMoto
Looks to be all young kids....Nothing mentioned in the most popular Italian newspaper https://www.corriere.it/il-punto/. One article on the unrest in France & Italy (mostly in Milan and mostly young kids apparently.)

I have seen Italy under duress before, with officialdom not handling things well. My first visit was during a terror scare and paramilitary was everywhere brandishing submachineguns. Mostly 18 yearolds carelessly pointing guns at people. Maybe around that time was the "Ustica massacre" where a bathroom bomb brought down an Italian airliner (wreckage preserved in a Bologna museum!) and politicians demanded it be ruled as due to a stray NATO missile. Later I was ambushed by German speaking teens with bb guns near Lake Garda, and couldn't interest the police into checking their hideout. Finally I arrived during a volcano eruption whose dust shut down flights and the spillover saturated rail traffic to major Italian towns. Only by standing by a toilet stall did I get mobile, and it was to dull Genoa rather than planned destinations. Maybe more on top of things now, with RAI News in English reporting the mastermind coordinating violence and looting in Milan, Turin, and Bologna now in jail: (cued to start just before minute 3)
