The Foundation of Rome

Recommended Posts

We are trying to collect opinions and ideas in order to set a web event related to the Lecture: The Foundation of Rome, held by professor Paolo Carafa (Associate Professor of Greek and Roman Archaeology at University La Sapienza in Rome).

All the details are on www.ciceronline.it/eng_survey.html

Thanks for your feedback!

"Dear Supporter of the Roman History! If you are not able to come to Rome, Rome will come to You!"

Sounds inviting! I've a few questions that didn't appear to be answered on the website: Will these lectures focus primarily on archaeology, or will other subject areas be included, such as Roman social life and customs? Even though your foundation appears to be based in Rome, can we expect these lectures to be offered in languages other than Italian? Will there be a fee for these lectures -- or are they free? Thanks!

Thank you for your interest and for the above questions that will help us to better specify our project.

Prof. Carafa will focus his lecture on the 20+ years excavation campaigns in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill in Rome.

This means that different areas will be covered such as the Legend, the Geography of the area and the results of these campaigns. The lecture will be in english and free of charge.

Hope this helps and thanks again.

Can I attend the lectures at Cinema Trevi or is it a web event only?(or better, an "evento a porte chiuse"?).

This is a very nice initiative anyway :).
