Roman skeletons in English garden

Recommended Posts

Two skeletons dating back to when the Romans ruled Britain have been discovered in a garden.

The bones, plus pottery from the third century AD, were found when residents in Mowmacre were digging a pond.

Experts from the city council and the University of Leicester have inspected the grave's contents and believe it could be part of a cemetery, probably serving the area which is now Birstall.
