Borrow Bridge Fort

Pertinax

So far this is the best I can do for this site: this fort has no attested latin name , it is the link passing North from Bremetennacum toward Alavanna (Watercrook) and the route north to Luguvallum. The train was doing about 120mph here so I have had to tweak this image hard!

The Fort site is where the farm buildings stand to the middle left-this is a "throttle point" the main railway (London to Glasgow ) and motorway pass within yards through this valley (The Vale of Lune), northward toward the Cumbrian Plain.
