"Horsetail" without leaves or flowers

Lost_Warrior

This is what "horsetail" looks like, most of the year. The leaves and flowers are gone come summer.

This is apparently a different plant from what's known as horsetail found in other parts of the world.

most interesting , the basic skeletal structure looks very much like Equisetum ( or a samphire) , though sparser in outline. If you have a closeup of the flower head I will delve deeper. Certainly the previous images are reminiscent of Hemp Nettle variants.
