Sull DID voluntarily surrender his dictatorship and DID live happily ever after (for a year or so anyway). The authorities agree that he seemed never to have had any intention of extending his domination beyond reconstituting the state and handing it over to the aristocracy. he was a very strange bird to our ways of thinking.
